In short

Compass of the Day requires no sign-up and never asks for your name, email or other personal data. We do not sell or share visitor data.

Data in your browser

Your game progress, statistics, streaks, country passport, achievements and language choice are saved in your browser’s local storage (localStorage). This data is never sent to us and is visible only to you. To delete it, clear this site’s data in your browser settings.

Visitor statistics

To understand how many people play, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics and may also use Plausible or Umami. These services work without cookies and collect no personal data: only anonymous metrics such as pages viewed, country, device and browser type, page speed, and game events (game start, win, “Share” clicks).

Advertising

This site may show Google AdSense ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this and/or other sites on the Internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings: adssettings.google.com, or at aboutads.info. Visitors from the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalised ads are shown. How Google uses data: policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process technical request data (such as IP addresses) to deliver pages and protect against attacks, under its own policy: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy/

Children

The game is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will appear on this page with a new “last updated” date.
